FAQs

About the deposit, excess and protection

  • Usually not. It is a separate security amount handled through a purchase or authorisation on a credit or debit card and released when the conditions are met.

  • LuxRide releases it under the handover protocol at return. Your bank may then need a few working days; LuxRide does not control the exact bank processing time.

  • Yes, with a debit card or cash The answer depends on class, deposit mechanism and accepted payment methods.

  • No. Even with both super waivers, exclusions remain. Always check exclusions, permitted use and the incident procedure.

  • The deposit is the security mechanism for the rental; the excess is contractual potential liability after a covered event. Authorisation timing and method follow the terms of the rental agreement; one amount does not automatically determine the other.
